I love award shows!  All the celebs are dressed to impress!
These were my most favorite looks for hair and make-up.

#1.  Lindsay Pulsipher
I loved how stunning, yet soft, her over-all look is.
She has perfect bangs and a chic milk-maid braid.
Her soft peach colored cheeks, rosy lips and black winged eye-liner
compliment her tangerine dress perfectly.

#2. Ginnifer Goodwin

Bow-chicka-wow-wow.  Everything is so GLAM!
She pulls off the sleek styled pixie cut perfectly!
Her make-up is bold, but not over the top.
Dark eye-lids and a nude lip is a great combo.

#3.  Sarah Hyland
This girl is GORGEOUS!
Her melted hair color gives great dimension to her
tousled up-do and curled tendrils (loose hair by the face).
Sarah's make-up is something most women would wear daily
but it also looks fabulous on the red carpet.
Big lashes, just enough shimmer on the eye-lids, soft raspberry lips
and perfectly blushing cheeks.

#4.  Christina Hendricks
Christina's look is so old-hollywood glam!
Her lovely red hair color is great for her skin tone,
and she is owning that hair style of undone finger-waves.
Plus, besides all that, she has great brows,
black liner on her blue eyes, and a great red lip.

#5.  Shaun Robinson
Beautiful side swept up-do!
Fabulous make-up!
Her skin looks amazing, and her brows frame her face perfectly.
Glossy lips, bold lashes, and black eyeliner are
definitely a red carpet go-to!

#6.  Sofia Vergara
I love her curls!
This hair style is so appropriate for the red carpet,
but also great for everyday.
Her smokey eye lids and dark lips look great with her olive skin.

#7.  Kristen Wiig
Kristen Wiig always looks fabulous!
I really love how "undone" she looks.
Her hair is very boho, and imperfect... which is what I love about it.
Her make-up makes her skin look totally flawless.
Her eyes are lined with black liner and her glossy lips stand out just enough.

#8. Giuliana Rancic
First of all... I love Giuliana. Period.
Her hair is in a totally chic ponytail.
I love the pompadour in the front.
Winged black liner, nude lip and bronzer is spot on gorgeous.

#9. Brooke Anderson
Beach blonde waves!!
Black liner and golden eye-shadow!
Sun kissed Bronzed face and pinky pink lips!
She has got it going on!

Last but not least... #10. Kiernan Shipka
I love the volume in her classy up-do.
Her boyish brows and eye make-up are beautiful!
I think she looks fabulous and youthful
with her simple hair and make-up!
She is so pretty!

Here are some more FABULOUS looks from the Emmy's.
I loved the fancy pony-tails, bold eyes and lips, and great dresses.

GIVE AWAY: Moroccan Oil Hairspray {CLOSED}

Moroccan Oil is one of my favorite brands of styling products.
There really isn't anything that Moroccan Oil brand has made that I don't like, but--
the one product I just absolutely LOVE is their luminous hairspray.

What I love most about Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray is right on the front of the can!

It gives you a weightless, natural look, NO sticky residue, and it smells SO GOOD!
Since there is Moroccan Oil Treatment in the hairspray, it has the perfect amount of shine.

HOW TO: Half Up/Fish Tail Braid Tutorial

This half up fish tail braid is such an easy way to
add a little style to your "slept in" look.
Whether you literally slept in and don't have time
to get ready in the morning, or you're going for a boho chic look,
this is a great hair style.

Pull the hair from the crown of your head into a small pony-tail, like so.

Take two pieces of hair in your fingers from the far sides of your pony...

...and cross them from one section to the other section, alternating sides.

Repeat this until you get to the end of the pony-tail.

Then for a more messy/boho look....

backcomb the end of your braid to secure it instead of using an elastic.

Lastly, pull apart the braid from top to bottom.

This creates a relaxed 'un-done' look.

The finished result-  BOHO CHIC hair!

Hair Color Trends: Ombre, Melting, & High/Low Lights

These ladies are all of my lovely clients.
This is what they are asking for with their hair color.

The term "ombre" (in the hair world) is referring to when your hair transitions from one color
to a completely different color without a harsh line.

It can be as dramatic or as subtle as you want, although I prefer it on the subtle side, like this... I think it looks less like "grow-out".

I've posted about color melting before... HERE.

and how it is different than the ombre trend.

multi dimensional hair colors are so beautiful.
